QUALITY AND CERTIFICATIONS

Kaufbeurer Mikrosysteme Wiedemann GmbH inaugurated its Quality Management System in 2008. It encompasses all areas of the company, providing quality assurance and monitoring of products and processes. The QMS was certified according to ISO 9001 in the same year. In order to meet the additional requirements of the automotive industry, in 2009 KMW’s systems were certified according to ISO/TS 16949. This resulted in our guarantee for systematic, continuous and traceable product development and production, enabling us to achieve maximum customer satisfaction from first contact to delivery of the goods.

The effectiveness and efficiency of the existing Quality Management System is regularly monitored via critical audits by internal and external auditors, in order to confirm and continuously develop the performance of the system. To this end, we work together with recognised institutes such as DQS or TÜV-Süd. To enable the use of selected products in safety-related applications, we qualify them in accordance with the functional safety requirements of IEC 61508.
